ABOUT NTSC

Overview

NTSC is an acronym of Narayana Talent Scholarship Competition. NTSC is a special test for awarding monthly scholarships and fee scholarships to motivate and nurture talent of participating students.

Students of class 8 (moving to 9), Class 9 (moving to 10), Class 10 (moving to 11-Science), Class 11 (moving to 12-Science) can appear in NTSC 2024

NTSC has two stages namely NTSC Stage-I (written exam - MCQ's) and NTSC Stage-II (Personal Interview). The students who qualify the Stage-I will only be invited for Stage-II.

Qualifying Criteria

  • Stage-I: The Top 10 Percentile students will be eligible for NTSC Stage-II provided they score a minimum of 80% score in NTSC Stage-I.
  • Stage-II: Based on combined performance of Stage-I and assessment in personal interview of Stage-II, Final list of NTSC scholars will be declared.

Disclaimer: The final discretion of awarding Scholarships and Waivers for Narayana courses will remain with Narayana management and this decision will be final and binding on the students.


NTSC Benefits

  • Fee scholarship up to 90% in the yearlong classroom course fee at Narayana Jaipur Center will be awarded based on NTSC Stage-I performance.
  • The students who would qualify NTSC Stage-II will be awarded the title of NTSC Scholar
  • Monthly scholarship of Rs 5000/- will be awarded to each NTSC Scholar during his/her yearlong classroom course at Narayana Jaipur Center.
  • Additional to Scholarship Benefits, based on NTSC Performance Selected Students will be admitted in "CO-SRG" Batch who will learn & Compete Online with National Top Rank Contenders of JEE/NEET 2025 & 2026 from Narayana. 

Details of monthly scholarship to NTSC 2024 Scholars

  • Each NTSC Scholar will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) per month from April to December during his/her yearlong classroom course at Narayana Jaipur.
  • The continuation of scholarship to NTSC Scholars is subject to stipulated norms of performance and attendance in the enrolled yearlong course of the awarded student at Narayana Jaipur. The Narayana management reserves all rights related to above scholarship.
  • NTSC Scholars will also have the advantage of fee scholarship based on NTSC Stage-I performance in addition to the monthly scholarship.

Validity of NTSC 2024 Monthly Scholarship and Fee Scholarship

  • All the benefits from NTSC 2024 are applicable only for academic session 2024-25 at Narayana Jaipur center.
  • The Fee Scholarship awarded through NTSC is valid till 31-July-2024 only if student is taking admission in yearlong classroom course at Narayana Jaipur centre by paying the prevailing applicable fee.


Syllabus & Patterns

Pattern: 

Present Class 8 & 9 – 100 multiple Choice Questions with Single Correct Answer – Physics-15, Chemistry-15, Biology-15, Mathematics-30 & Reasoning Ability-25. Maximum Marks 400. Marking Pattern - 4 Marks for correct answer, -1 for wrong answer and 0 for un attempted.

Present Class 10 & 11 – 100 multiple Choice Questions with Single Correct Answer – Physics-25, Chemistry-25, Biology/Mathematics-25 & Reasoning Ability-25. Maximum Marks 400. Marking Pattern - 4 Marks for correct answer, -1 for wrong answer and 0 for un attempted. Only 1 subject to be attempted from Biology and Mathematics as per Goal.

Class 8 moving to 9

  • Physics: Force and Pressure, Friction, Sound
  • Chemistry: Coal and Petroleum, Combustion and Flame
  • Biology: Crop Production and Management, Micro Organisms: Friend and Foe, Conservation of Plants & Animals
  • Mathematics: Rational Numbers, Linear Equations in one Variable, Understanding Quadrilaterals, Data Handling, Squares & Square Roots, Cubes & Cube Roots, Algebraic Expressions and Identities
  • Reasoning Ability - General questions of Verbal, Non-Verbal and Abstract Reasoning.

Class 9 moving to 10

  • Physics: Motion, Force and Laws of motion, Gravitation, Work and energy, Sound
  • Chemistry: Matter in our surroundings, Is matter around us pure?, Atoms and Molecules, Structure of the atom
  • Biology: The Fundamental Unit of Life, Tissues, Improvement in Food Resources
  • Mathematics: Number systems. Polynomials, Coordinate geometry, Linear equations in two variables, Introduction to Euclid’s geometry. Lines and angles, Triangles
  • Reasoning Ability - General questions of Verbal, Non-Verbal and Abstract Reasoning.

Class 10 moving to 11

  • Physics: Light - Reflection and Refraction, The Human Eye and the Colourful World, Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current
  • Chemistry: Chemical Reactions and Equations, Acids, Bases and Salts, Metals and non–Metals, Carbon and its Compounds
  • Biology: Life Processes, Control and Coordination, How do Organisms Reproduce, Heredity
  • Mathematics: Real Numbers, Polynomials, Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Progressions, Triangles, Coordinate Geometry, Introduction to Trigonometry, Some Applications of Trigonometry
  • Reasoning Ability - General questions of Verbal, Non-Verbal and Abstract Reasoning.

Class 11 moving to 12

  • Physics: Motion in a Straight Line, Motion in a Plane, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, System of Particles and Rotational Motion
  • Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium
  • Biology: The Living World, Biological Classification, Plant Kingdom, Animal kingdom, Structural Organisation in Animals, Cell: The Unit of Life, Cell Cycle and Cell Division
  • Mathematics: Sets, Relations and Functions, Trigonometric Functions, Complex Numbers & Quadratic Equations, Permutation & Combinations, Sequence and Series, Straight Lines
  • Reasoning Ability - General questions of Verbal, Non-Verbal and Abstract Reasoning.

  • Stage-I: NTSC 2024 pen and paper test of 2 hours is scheduled on 26, 27, 28, 29 Nov and 3 Dec, 2023. You can select any test date as per your convenience.

  • Stage-I Test Result
  • Result of NTSC Stage-I : Result will be declared within 2 days after test date.

  • Student will be informed by SMS / Whatsapp on registered mobile number for NTSC result.
